Hi! My name is Kellie. I like to cook, bake, listen to music, watch movies and take photos. I recently moved from sunny Arizona to snowy Utah with my husband, toddler, and human-like dog Charlie. I started this blog as a way to help me deal with postpartum depression and challenge myself to create something every day.
I graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in Industrial Engineering. While I was studying engineering I was constantly practicing photography. When I graduated I worked as a project manager and part time portrait and wedding photographer. After moving to Utah and being stuck inside during the cold winter I decided to combine my love for food and cooking with my love for photography. That is when I developed a passion for food photography and have been practicing it ever since.
After having gestational diabetes and finding out postpartum that I am insulin resistant I decided to make a lifestyle change and adapt a low carb and nutrient rich diet. I began focusing on making my life healthier while still keeping it real (hence the healthy-ish). My new found love for health and wellness led me to become a certified Holistic Nutritionist. I’ve also gained a new found love for exercise and a nontoxic lifestyle.
